Carlucci
Any news on his injury this morning? Good ol CBS informed me the following Shaun Alexander, RB SEA News: According to FOX Sports, Seattle RB Shaun Alexander is not close to returning. Two weeks ago Shaun Alexander said that as long as this past Monday's x-rays showed the crack in his foot had healed he would start Monday night. His head coach Mike Holmgren was even more optimistic, pretty sure that the pics would show that he was healthy and ready to roll. But according to sources, Monday's tests showed that Alexander's crack had not only not healed, it wasn't even healing the way the team had expected it to. Alexander's pictures showed that it was not healing that way and was only 70 percent healed at that time. In addition, Alexander sent the medical pictures down to a foot specialist in Dr. James Andrews office in Birmingham for a second look. After the look, however, both the specialist and the Seahawks told Alexander it will be all right if he begins running in a straight line this week. They had not, as of Sunday morning, cleared him to begin cutting on that foot. He is slated to take another x-ray either Monday or Tuesday to see if the foot had healed more and if he could return to practice. The team has no idea when exactly he'll be fully cleared to practice. It could be Monday or Tuesday, could be a week, could be two weeks, could be more. Whenever the pictures show the crack has completely healed, he'll be able to return. Analysis: This is bad news for Alexander owners.(really?) Keep him reserved until he starts to practice and is given clearance to play. Just wondering if anyone had any info on him this morning. What a freakin' bum. He was 'supposed' to come back last week, then pushed back supposedly til next week. Whats the deal?
kraftykraft
Unfortunately, those stress-fracture type injuries take a long time to heal....

Big Score 1
I heard it was healing in the reverse order of what it's supposed to. The bone is healing from the outside in, instead of knitting together from the inside and then progressing towards the outside. Or something like that anyway. He was 'supposed' to come back last week, then pushed back supposedly til next week. Whats the deal? Awww is your fantasy team losing because of this? He has an injury that isn't healing. What do you want him to do? Play, hurt it again, and be out for good? It's the NFL, not NFFL.
Bushey
Clearly, he needs to step up prayer.
thecerwin
I heard it was getting worse because he was wearing flip flops instead of his medical boot.

piratesownninjas
Great point. Yeah, I forgot he's the guy that can't block or make a seam open. Right. Remember, Alexander wasnt lighting it up this year either. The O line sucks.
sundaynfl
I think all Alexander owners need to call Shaun and form a prayer circle!

Venus
At least in the league I drafted him in, I have K. Jones, C. Taylor & D. Foster. In the big $$ leage, I play the SA owner this coming week. He can stay out.
LIK
I have been catching a bunch of crap from my old lady on him all year (she told me to draft L.T.) Anyway to make a long story short I traded him off for Clinton Portis about three weeks ago. Right before C.P. had his bad game followed by the next week with the ankle and other minor injury's. Seems like Madden and I have one thing in common this year. lik (madden's buddy)
alexgaddis
That's enough outta you, Gaddis! If you saw my local you'd know what I was talking about... I was 4-0 even without Alexander tearing it up...I have fallen to 4-5 and wondering who to take with the #2 pick next year...
MikesMarauders
Well this has hurt my fantasy team but as a Patriot fan there first round pick from the Seahawks is looking better and better
theeohiostate
From Rotoworld today. Mike Holmgren told Peter King that his "gut feeling" is that Shaun Alexander will be ready to play against the Rams. If Holmgren thinks so, that good news, cause we know SA says he's ready. I'd say Holmgren wants SA on the field............NOW!
