Undefeated Super Bowl

Suppose 2 teams meet in the Super Bowl and they are both undefeated. You know watching the game that one of the teams would be the first undefeated team since the Dolphins.

Now suppose you have the game such as a few years ago, when ONE team is undefeated. You go into the game with the anticipation they MIGHT finish the season undefeated. And that particular game was spectacular to watch.

To me, the better Super Bowl is the 2nd option, because in the first scenario the game is anti-climatic because you know you will be seeing history.

What say you?

Presuming no bias for one team or another, I think the better Superbowl is the one that's competitive for 60 minutes. If one team will or one team could go undefeated, that would just be icing on the cake. I much rather have a close game and know that one of them will go undefeated, then to have a blow out Superbowl that could have an undefeated team.

If a team does have a perfect season and the other team couldn't, I think it would add more to the championship celebration. But if the other team also could, I don't think it takes anything away from going perfect.

The Super Bowl is on a roll. The last two games were fantastic football games., with the right team winning each time

I think this year is destined for the undefeated Colts to meet the undefeated Saints in the Super Bowl. No need to find a stupid storyline for that one. If it happens, it will be the most hyped Super Bowl ever, deservedly so.

I think it will be the Colts and Saints in the Super Bowl but I think both will be going in with 15-1 regular season records.

I'm going to predict right now that neither team will make the Super Bowl.

Indy is very much a timing accuracy offense. They need to play each week to keep that timing in place. A week off seems to really hurt their effectiveness.

NO is finding ways to win. Good teams do. I just think Minn. may be too much for NO and will win in the playoffs. (not much there I know, just a thought)

I think it will be the Chargers (whatever record) vs. undefeated Saints. The winner will be the Chargers and the 72 Dolphins will celebrate once again.

I think home field for both teams is big.

Indy-wise, we'll see - I think Vanderjagt may have been onto something when he criticized Dungy and Manning a few years back - I don't think they choke, I think both of those guys had a tendency to be TOO even; when the other teams ramp up intensity in crunch time, they just treated it like business as usual. Maybe that changes under Caldwell.

I think if NO play Minny, the Saints blow a hole in their pass D, and Darren Sharper gets re-acquainted with Brett Favre - or at least a couple of the footballs he throws.

An undefeated Super Bowl that goes into OT would be ideal for me.

Yes, and then, it could be the game that makes the NFL have to change their overtime format because everyone feels the game shouldn't have ended in a tie. Or can the Super Bowl end in a tie?
