Bobby Brown
His foot was pointing straight up when his body was face down on the field. Then they showed the replay. :puke:
DMD
He's only 28 so he would have several years left to play potentially but that looked bad. Like forget 2019 bad. Maybe pick up a new vocation bad.
irish
That could be career ending, just ugly!
Wpob
I would be shocked if he played again. And even if he does, it would be as a small role player at best. This looked awful. I feel for him. This will be a long recovery.
kdko
Dude was laying face down and his foot was sticking straight up. Sad..
hezagenius
According to Adam Schefter (so take with many grains of salt), dislocated ankle and if recovery is good, he could be back next season. Maybe news directly from the org will come down Sunday.
loaf
when they showed it snap, just before breaking away to commercial, I about tossed my dinner
League_Champion
That was gruesome, more than likely a career ender. I just hope it's not something that will affect him permanently. Absolutely horrific injury.
purplemonster
Ouch. Hurns shouldn't have put that plant foot down with a guy on his back swinging into this ankle. But it happened so fast. That looked career ending. if it affects the ankle joint itself that's going to impair a lot of things. If it is just the tibia and fibula it's hard enough, but once it affects the ankle joint itself proper healing required for NFL level play seems unlikely. Shaft
He's expected to return this August via news from Adam Schefter.

I am not sure I'd count on Schefty's opinion there. An ankle dislocation and fracture and back in 7-8 months sounds a bit accelerated. Sounds like whoever Schefter talked to is optimistic he'll play again so that's good.
blaw23
That looked like a career ender to me. It looked like the ankle just completely snapped. I feel for him, hope to hear it is not as bad as it looked.

While it obviously wasn't a football injury it did not heal as expected and she had to have her ankle fused to her leg. It's at a permanent 90° angle. She now has what they call 'dropfoot' as she can never move her ankle again. Wishing him the best in his recovery.

I trust him a lot less since he reported the Pats were suspending Josh Gordon for part of a game then he was on the field for the very first play. He probably heard from some doctor who saw the play on TV or something, not anybody with actual knowledge of Hurns actual injury or involved with treatment. Wasn't Schef also the one that paid for those pictures of somebody's xrays and obtained them unethically?

I just looked it up and looks like he only broke his fibula, (if what I am reading is accurate) which is good news as it is much less important for weight bearing than the tibia. The bone was sticking out of the skin though, yikes. Hopefully he will be back in good shape but we'll have to see.
