cre8tiff
The little motherf0cker. I started by jerking his a$$ out of school, and making him pick up dogsh!t in the yard (and the neighbor's yard) the rest of the day. Apparently he and his crew have been having big fun at $12.99 a pop. Dumba$$ didn't consider it would show up on the freakin' bill. Considering selling his bike to pay the bill. Or putting his X-Box and DS on eBay with the title, "Must sell my 13 year old son's stuff to pay for his $123 porn bill". Any other suggestions? DemonKnight
Breathe bro. It's only a little money. I think the dog pile punishment is plenty. Jerk his allowance if he gets one. I wouldnt sell his stuff though. Didnt you buiy it anyway? Maybe make him mow lawns and you take the proceeds until he pays off the bill. That will show him exactly how much work/money he just squandered. P.S. For xmas buy him some DVD's. Its cheaper.

wirehairman
Any other suggestions? Make sure he invites you next time? For real though, selling the Xbox to pay the bill definitely will teach him the reprecussions of a poor decision and be a good lesson in personal responsibility. polksalet
You could always make him sitin the mall all day wearing pink dress and a sign that says "I rent pron". Just the threat of that should have some effect.

Missoula Griz
I would make him pay for the bill. I am sure he is embarassed and wont do it again. Talk to him and tell him its normal to want to see sex and nudity. At his age, I was looking at any magazine I could get my hands on. Can you imagine what you might have done at his age had you the same media sources?

The Irish Doggy
Making him pay for it out of his pocket is the best lesson he can learn.
Coffeeman
Maybe make him mow lawns and you take the proceeds until he pays off the bill. That will show him exactly how much work/money he just squandered. +1 - its as much about the $ as it is about the porn. too much free stuf out there to have to pay for it.... But on the more serious side - regardless of what your religious convictions may be, porn will affect his perception of women and what the typical H.S./college girl will want to do on a date. (The rare 'freak' is rare for a reason - scary, lifelong burning-sensation type reasons!) Might want to talk to him about that too..... rajncajn
Awesome!!! When we were kids we got busted for thumbing through Dad's Playboy's, it didn't cost a dime and made Dad proud.
Hugh 0ne
I like the selling of his stuff idea. He can then earn the money back and re-purchase the items, but this way there's an immediate negative impact to him.
alexgaddis
Was he at least smart enough to tape the movies???
Chadman
I'm guessing that getting caught and your immediate reaction was enough to leave a lasting impression. I don't think selling his stuff is the best answer, although it would depend on the kid and your relationship. I do think having him pay it off with allowance or working it off is a good idea. Maybe grounding him from the electronic realm for awhile is a good idea. Not sure what pulling him out of school accomplished, unless he REALLY loves school. If that were me, I might be tempted to do it again and take another afternoon off... If you REALLY want to teach him the responsibility end of it, make him take the cable payment in to the office, with the pron titles highlighted on the bill, and say I want to pay for MY viewing options this month. Personally, I think this would leave a mental mark on a teenager. Over the top? Maybe, but would leave an impression, and get you off the hook with the office ladies... That sounds like a good idea to me. As far as him paying for it... he should. But make him decide how he does it, set a payment due date and see what he does to get this money, work, sell his own stuff, whatever. In my mind it makes it more personal ifhe has to decide what he is giving up to make restitution.
