BeeR
ie those whose name few would recognize if you threw it out..... Mine's easy: Bobby Slayton. Here's a sample, although he's done better, if only I could find the older ones...... Edited February 13, 2010 by BeeR
Seahawks21
I like Arj Barker, although he is becoming more and more recognized. Also Greer Barnes is a guy that has been really funny for a really long time.
Brentastic
There's a guy I saw on HBO a couple years ago. Redish blond hair and drinking the whole time, pretty foul mouthed too. I remember liking him, he reminded my of a friend (exactly). NO way of knowing his name though.
wildcat2334
Jim Jeffries one of the funniest comedians on the planet - still relatively unknown his HBO comedy special was phenomenal

SayItAintSoJoe
I like Howie Bell. A comic out of Detroit. He's got a good bit on "mean grandparents" and "nursery rhymes".
Duchess Jack
Demetri Martin He used to have a dumb bit on the Daily Show and had a crappy show on Comedy Central that failed pretty quickly - but I love this guy. Czarina
Maybe it's just a pet peeve of mine, but I hate it when people link to youtube without saying in their post who or what the hell it is that they've linked to. I'm not going to youtube just to find out what the hell it is. Just sayin'.

Amen; heck it might lead to people posting the same exact thing and not even knowing it I felt like I was the only one who felt that way, thanks. What also gets me is it's usually easier just to type the name of whatever vs posting a youtube link. Just tell us wtph you're talking about; we can look it up if we want. edit: found another of Slayton FWIW Edited February 13, 2010 by BeeR

Chavez
Despite a cult-ish following, many people never knew Mitch Hedberg and I loved that guy. Maybe he qualifies as "unknown". It's kinda like the "sleeper" or "undervalued" :P "I went into a deli and ordered a pastrami sandwich; 'what kind of bread?' - 'rye...f*ck it, banana!'; 'what kind of cheese?' 'cottage!' The owner said 'get out of my store, you will ruin my reputation!' " I love his bit about club sandwiches. There's a clip on youtube where he puts a heckler onstage and heckles him. Scooby
It's as though Chappelle is unknown, since he had the breakdown & stopped his show I just wanna cry!! So many themes he could work with right now, Tiger Woods, making fun of the president--I bet he could do some really funny obama sketches. Not to mention Price and making fun of his Vikings fight song....
millerx
He's not a totally unknown, but not mainstream either. His delivery reminds me of the late, great, George Carlin. And if you are a parent... you have to watch this!! His takes on family life is hysterical and spot on!
