buddahj Posted July 1, 2010 Share Posted July 1, 2010 Earlier today, a good friend of mine almost died. He's been having some heart problems the last few months. In the past week, he's had to have his heart shocked 3 times. He was on the way to another specialist today (his wife was driving) for some more tests. Apparently, he started having trouble breathing & started to black out. His wife raced him to the Emergency Room, where they couldn't even wait for the doctor to show up to look at him. His BP was really, really low. Something like 35 over 15. They administered life saving measures, but it doesn't look good right now. He's only 40 years old & has four kids...all under 14. It is a good opportunity to bring any concerns out in the open. Being a male approaching 40, I am worried about having all things checked. Something about the natural pacemaker cells were basically looping & not sending the electrical current to the bottom part of the heart. So they had to go in a fix this.
