I believe the Titans will trade down, maybe more than once, and maybe completely out of the first round. Obviuously, their greatest needs right now are cornerback and wide reciever. With their 1st 3 picks expect them to take at least 1 cb, 1 wr, and perhaps an OT..

I didn't realize the Pack had two 2nd round picks this year. That's great, however, I'm not convinced they'll take a corner early this year unless it is a guy they project to one of the safety positions. As much as the secondary struggled last season, they seem to believe the young guys they have will develop.

I'd be disappointed if the Browns took Braylon Edwards with the 3rd pick...but if they do then they better hope Charlie Frye lasts until their 3rd Rounder...I would much rather them take Alex Smith with their first rounder..

Spain, do you think the Titans will take Rolle or Pac-Man Jones??

I dont think they will take either one. The Titans will trade down so they can get more picks. At least that is sort of Floyd Reeces M.O., and the feeling I get from some of his comments of late. Anyway, by the time they actually do make a selection, it will be a cb, but those 2 guys will be long gone. However, if they dont trade down and they retain the 1.6 pick, I believe it they will select Jones, unless Braylon Edwards somehow miraculously slips down to that spot. Jones is more of a true cover corner, which they will need since they have already lost Rolle and will in all probability lose Andre Dyson.

I could see that based on their draft last year which I thought was one of the better drafts considering all their needs. I remeber they hit d line hard and got the te from UF in the second. However, how do you pass on getting the top rated cb in the draft (i asssume Jones possibly Rolle). At some point you need playmakers... right.

Supposedly TB is in love with Williams. But maybe that's just a smokescreen.

could be. my guess is they're looking at one of the rb's as that seems like a much more urgent need. of course if they deal for james or someone else b/f the draft, then that would change.

I keep seeing more and more mocks with Barron going to Houston.  After seeing Carr run for his life last year, all I can is hope they are all right.

I think Barron may go to the Lions at 1.10. Just a guess, but Backus simply isn't the bookend tackle they were hoping for on the left side. I could see them drafting Barron, putting him on the right side this year, then flip-flopping him and Backus in 2006.

Also agreed with Rovers that there's no way the first true impact LB in years falls all the way to 1.11.

I hear you Quimby, but the Titans are in a situation where they need more than 1 impact player. If they can trade down, still get a quality corner and pick up a few extra picks, they should do so. Cornerback is deeper in this draft than it has been in years, so plenty to choose from should be available in the first couple rounds. The titans are losing both of their starters, so they need more than just one great one. And their wr corps is a mess. I think they have to trade down and stockpile several picks..

I heard Coach Grudin doing an interview on Sirius NFL Radio, and he sounded like he was drooling when talking about Williams. And there's no doubt that Griese needs all the help he can get.
