No way SF takes Braylon. They will either trade their No. 1 to SD for Rivers, take a QB, or trade down. If SF trades to SD, then I can possibly see Edwards go number one, but there is no way SF takes him. Also, no way TB takes Benson over Cadallac Williams. While I think Benson is a better back, Williams fits TB's system much better.

I believe that GBN is assuming that the trade between the 49ers and Chargers is a done deal, and that is why they have Edwards going 1.1. As far as Benson is concerned, I keep hearing that his stock is still sliding down the board based on his pro day workout. He is supposedly clearly behind Brown and Williams now. Look how high GBN has Troy Williamson going, 1.7 to the Vikes. That seems a bit high but his stock may be in the rise..

No! Even if there was a RB taken here, I dont think it would be Williams

47 Houston Eric Green

CB

Maybe

73  Houston (from Dallas)  Fred Gibson

WR

Maybe

78 Houston Micahel Munoz

OT

Tennessee

Sweet!

Other than the first round pick, I could see all of the rest of these picks making sense. If if did play out like this, I would rather see them go Pollack or Spears in the 1st.

Mike Mayock from the NFL Network has the Vikings taking Williamson that high as well. But that putz also thinks Erasmus James is a top 10 pick.

On Mike & Mike in the Morning today, Mel Kiper was on discussing his just published "big board".

He also had Cadillac Williams going to the Vikings.

Just some food for thought, as I found it shocking both Kiper and GBN had the same surprise listed!

According to my Sirius satellite radio NFL channel (are there any other channels?) there is absolutely no trade in the works between San Diego and San Fran. That is pure speculation from fans. Why would San Diego do that? They have two first round picks this year, plus their qb of the future (ie NOT Brees). It makes no sense. Phillips is staying in San Diego, and Brees will be gone in '06.

Baltimore usually takes the best player, but I can't see us spending a first round pick on a WR.

With Derrick Mason, Todd Heap established as pro bowl players, the Ravens already have two big names.

With Clarence Moore coming off a great rookie year, Randy Hymes coming off a good year, Devard Darling being healthy, the Ravens also have three great young players (Moore and Darling where rookies and Hymes is in his 4th year).

Also, Moore and Hymes where the starters at the end of last year. They basically get bumped down one spot with the addition of Mason.

With Defensive Tackle our biggest need, I believe we rate that possition higher based on need. Offensive line and Linebacker I see right behind it.

I saw Mort on ESPN 2 days ago and he said the same thing- absolutley no truth to the Rivers to SF rumors......

Everything i've read is that there is nothing to the Chargers and Niners trade. Thankfully.

IMO, some odd picks in this draft, but always interesting to get a different view. Fortunately, they didn't seem to far off in Seattle's picks. However, I'm pretty sure the Hawks have two picks in the third. They also have two in the fourth :D:D.

I still say that if DJ falls to the Lions at 1.10, they will do what they did last year. Trade down one spot, get a first-day pick in return, then go ahead and take the guy they really wanted anyway. With Alex Barron and Antrell Rolle still on the board, dollars to doughnuts they move down and let the Tuna have his LB.
