Thanks Doc, but how do those terms relate to the spread? I figure pick em means 0 spread, but what about the other term? Does that mean the spread is even also?

OFF means there is some uncertainty around the situation that is preventing the odds makers from setting a line, typically an injury to a key player.

 

I'm guessing the odds makers are concerned about Leftwich, McNabb, and obviously the NYJ QB situation ... thus those games are off the board and not eligible for betting.  If you will note in the rules if you pick one of the teams OFF the board it will count as a loss.

 

The pick 'em means the odds makers have decided they will get as many bets on each team straight up with no line.  Thus simply pick the team you believe will win.
