Ziachild007
The wife and I took a small road trip with some freinds the other day. The trip was about an hour or so, so I had my Ipod plugged in while we jammed some tunes. About 3/4 of the way there, my wife says "You are weird." I asked her exactly what she was talking about and she said it was my music. She said my taste in music was all over the place, which I told her was probably pretty common. She insisted that most people probably have 2-3 genres of music they listen to, but I had just a little bit of everything on my Ipod. FWIW, here are is sorta a sample of somestuff that I have on my favorites playlist: The Eagles Buckcherry Jay-Z Elvis Presley Bach Ozzy Osborne Frank Sinatra Whitesnake Bob Marley Hall & Oates George Jones Sex Pistols B.B. King Young Dro John Mayer Beastie Boys Jason Aldean Ice Cube Al Green AC/DC Christina Aguilerra Bread Aaron Neville Sex Pistols Drowning Pool Brad Paisley Buddy Holly Staind Bangles Lil' Wayne Blink 182 Gym Class Heroes That just gives you an idea of what it migh skip around to if you just let it skip around for awhile. So I guess my question is.....Am I the only "weirdo" that likes more than just a few genres of music? Guest Chappy
I'm very similar. Hell, I started a thread about Freestyle music.
tbimm
My GF and I are very similar. We listen to everything. I have often said my musical tastes range from Yanni to Metallica and keep growing. My CD collection garners a head shake rather often.
SheikYerbuti
I'm equally in love with metal, classical, world, jazz, pop, grunge, folk. . .as long as it ain't country or American Idol, I'm into it.

budlitebrad
Everything but country. I like southern fried rock and that kinda stuff, but most of the stuff chicks dig, I can't stand.
Egret
My wife also finds my musical tastes weird. She listens to pop and hip-hop. She says my music is weird and/or stuck in the 90s. I more or less stick to indie/alternative music. There's some other stuff thrown in too. Pearl Jam Nirvana Soundgarden Liz Phair Alice in Chains Foo Fighters Smashing Pumpkins Rolling Stones Beatles Al Green Otis Redding Alanis Morissette Avergage White Band Beastie Boys The Donnas Electric Light Orchestra Elton John Fleetwood Mac Ben Folds 90s Booty Shakin' Music John Lennon Lisa Loeb Nelly Furtado Oasis Weezer White Stripes On Sirius I usually listen to Left of Center, Alt Nation, Super Shuffle, Hits One, and the Pulse. Chavez
Hmmm. I guess I consider myself somewhat narrow - big on metal and 80s/90s alternative, a bit of a dilettante when it comes to country, electronic music, and Broadway, shamefully undereducated on jazz and classical (though I have a few discs of each in my collection), and blissfully ignorant for the most part when it comes to folk. bushwacked
I'll listen to almost anything as long as it sounds authentic or interesting. Big time fan of stuff like Colrane, Miles, Davis, Public Enemy, Tom Waits, Mike Patton, Slayer, Willie Nelson, Red Kross, Ramones, old school grunge....appreciate "new" stuff by Josh Homme, Jack White, Dave Grohl, Drive By Truckers....I don't keep up on jazz like I should. Can appreciate the musicianship by bands like Dave Matthews and Death Cab for Cutie, but don't like it much. H8 a lot of pop, but if it is done well, I dig it. Bands like Nickelback are the absolute worst.I like a lot of stuff, but there are a ton of popular bands that are horrible. I feel like my tastes are diverse but I'm pretty particular on who I don't like to listen to.

Chargerz
My taste in music depends on my mood. My car radio presets currently are stations featuring classic rock, jazz, country, contemporary, and hard rock music.
CarryTheRock
When I was younger I was more narrow minded. All Hard Rock, everything else sucked. Now I'm all over the place. Recently I was brought the question of going to see Bret Michaels a five minute walk from my house or Buddy Guy 1 1/2 hour drive away. I'm going to see Buddy Guy.
