darin3
I've been thinking of starting a thread like this for awhile now, because you'd be shocked to see what movies that your peers have not ever seen. Case in point, here's a conversation between me and a friend a few years ago: Me: [some silly Star Wars reference] Friend: Me: [Explains a bit more] Friend: Me: Dude. Star Wars. Friend: Me: Friend: I've never seen Star Wars. Any of them. Me: Well, me and my wife had a similar conversation the other night when I mentioned that I had never seen any of the Jurassic Park movies. I know, I know... what the heck? I was a HUGH dinosaur fan when I was a tyke, but I simply never got around to seeing any of these movies. I think I caught bits and pieces of it when it was on TNT or HBO, but never start to finish... nowhere close. I watched Jurassic Park on my flight out to the east coast today. It was pretty good. Guess I'll have to catch up on the others (two more? or one?). So, what movie have you never seen that would be a little surprising given your gender/age/commonalities with others here? tazinib1
Great post. A movie I always wanted to see in the theater and be part of the experience, was The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Never went although I had numerous chances. I always thought it was kinda ghey but now I wish I had gone. I'm sure there will be some main stream movies listed here that I will go "Oh I havn't seen that" or "My god you havn't seen that????". Perchoutofwater
I havent seen any of the God Father movies from start to end I don't think I have either. Another I have probably seen in it's entirety but never all at once is Raging Bull. It seems like every time it comes on and I start watching it something comes up that I have to do. skylive5
I love sci-fi movies and books. However, I have never seen: Any Star Wars movie Any Battlestar Galactica movie (or is that just a tv show?) ET Any Star Trek movie And I have no desire to see them. Now or in the future. I have, however, seen all the Godfather movies and watch Rocky Horror at least every other week (usually on a Fri night).

rocknrobn26
Citizen Cane! I had it on the DVR and it disappeared! Waiting for it again. Also almost every Jim Carrey movie. That jerk is nothing more than a Jerry Lewis ripoff! And only the French liked him. That should tell you something.

True but it's not on DVD at our local Video place (Don't ask about the VHS). I'll get it and I know I'll love it.

Seahawks21
Citizen Cane! I had it on the DVR and it disappeared! Waiting for it again. Also almost every Jim Carrey movie. That jerk is nothing more than a Jerry Lewis ripoff! And only the French liked him. That should tell you something. I've seen this movie four times now, all about five years apart. If this movie is something special, I'm afraid I'm missing the point. I have thought it was kind of cold and boring, and I usually enjoy cold and boring movies. I thought it was a waste of time and wouldn't really recommend it somebody who was hoping to see something great. I've never seen much of the Star Wars films. I watched about half of the first one and thought it was a pretty lame sci-fi story with mostly poor acting and some pretty unconvincing costumes and dialogue. So let me get this straight, the fan-favorite character is a moaning sasquatch?? Ooookie. Also never cared for or seen much of the Rocky or Rambo movies. Jimmy Neutron
Tried the Godfather flicks several times, meh. Seen folks talk about Fargo around here, never seen it. Only 1 Star Trek movie under my belt, 1/2 a meh. I've seen most other popular movies. Edited January 16, 2009 by Jimmy Neutron
i_am_the_swammi
I havent seen any of the God Father movies from start to end Oddly, +1...never once occured to me to watch them. And at this point, as good as they likely were from the period in which they wer emade, I'd have a hard time thinking they were better than the more gore-filled Good Fellas/Casino genre. wolfden1
Just watched E.T. about a week ago for the 1st time (only because my 5 yr. old wanted to). Not bad, but didn't mind waiting about 26 or 27 years.
