Chief Dick
I forwarded my thread from here to the NFL offices. They said they would pull back the Thursday night games until later in the season.
Big John
wk 1 had thus nite fb. why the change? There was never regular NFL games on Thursdays except for Thanksgiving and scattered weeks in the past. They recently added the first week (NBC) and late-season games on NFL Network. skylive5
interesting. is there a reasoning behind the inconsistency? It's called screwing with the big money FF leagues that hold their drafts the day before the first football Sunday.

baddfish2
Isn't there typically a college football game on Thursday nights; and I believe the NFL has certain limitations on what they are allowed to schedule against college football. Shorttynaz
Isn't there typically a college football game on Thursday nights; and I believe the NFL has certain limitations on what they are allowed to schedule against college football. You are correct. That's why NFL cant play on Saturday when college football is still in season (this is why they CAN play in the playoff's - college football is pretty much over other than the bowl games). i_am_the_swammi
interesting. is there a reasoning behind the inconsistency? TV contracts. They do not want it to compete with College Football's Thursday Night GOTW.
cdrudge
Uh, because Survivor is on on Thursday nights. Duh!You joke, but Survivor, The Office, 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy, CSI, etc all would compete.

Dbaxx
Why do the chickens cross the road? Well that and don't forget that if a duck had one leg, would it swim in circles?
Hugh 0ne
Well that and don't forget that if a duck had one leg, would it swim in circles? I think that would depend on the length of the ducks leg.
BearBroncos
interesting. is there a reasoning behind the inconsistency? Mainly because of dollars. The NFL makes most of their money from network TV versus cable but that also means that in order to get the revenue, they have to accomidate network schedules. Most premiers occure in the month of September and the networks have some serious bucks involved with those mini series. BTW, does anyoen know what game was the highest viewed game last week? The answer might surprise you.

Caveman_Nick
I think that would depend on the length of the ducks leg. I think that would just create a variance in the radius of the circles.
