Square
I have a writers/name/thinking block right now. My wife and I are expecting our second child (a boy this time) in February. My wife wanted for each of us to come up with 3 names that we like by the end of this week and I have no clue. Obviously I can't ask my RL friends for baby names as most of them are still having children so they won't give up their favorites as they might end up using them. So, I need you to help a brotha out. Boys name, nothing emo or girly. Masculine without being from a Gladiator movie or something you'd call an old guy on a bus. Any ideas come to mind? If you post 5 or less and we pick yours, I'll put up for your Huddle membership next year (although my wife might pick out something strange so it's possible that nobody wins). rajncajn
If we'd had a boy we planned to name him Gavin or Brennan Henry... Henry for my Grandfather. Alas I had two girls and threw in the white towel for fear of having a third.

WashingtonD
I like simple and old school  Alexander (plus if he ever rocks a pro contract they can call him Alexander the Great) Colt - It's a little country and western but your son is guaranteed to at least try out for High School QB Harrison - You can claim it's after a president, or more meaningfully a bad ass Han Solo Logan - The name just screams large strong one  WD

untateve
Milo. Â seriously. If I had another son, I'd fight hard with my wife to name him Milo. You will never meet someone whose name is Milo who is not a cool, centered dude.

yo mama
Alexander - Ok, I'll but that, but...Colt, Harrison, Logan all scream "I'm a suburban white kid and my parents wanted me to have a cool sounding, faux-unique yuppie name... just like everyone else." They're like the male version of Madison. Edited October 13, 2010 by yo mama

satelliteoflovegm
We really need your last name. Sometimes saying them together can have unsavory consequences. Â I like Jack. Â Just named our first Zachary in May. Â Also the possibilities for nicknames are crucial.

The Wolf
Having last name (and possible middle) helps. If my wife and I were to have a boy, his first and middle are Derek Robert. Derek's a cool, ass-kickin name. The name of a winner, and the name any boy would be happy with when they are old enough to understand.
