irish
Another year, another SuperBowl, another Huddle Box Pool. I've run a Huddler ONLY Pool for the last 4 years and even though I've been kinda crazy lately, I'm happy to do so again this year as it brings about some enjoyment to my life and hopefully to some of yours as well. Last year we were able to fill 2 entire sheets (200 boxes) so we'll see if we get that far this year but we'll start with one. After I have enough participants, the numbers will be randomly selected (by my son and daughter) and I will post the completed pool once it's finished using photobucket. I will update this post as I receive everyones' payments. As with each year I will be assigning a number to each Huddler in order to place them into the grid. Payouts are as follows: 1st Q- $50, Half- $150, 3rd Q- $50 and Final- $250. Here are the threads from last year- http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?show...amp;hl=box+pool http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?show...amp;hl=box+pool Here is the one from 2010- http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?show...Huddle+Box+pool There are also other thread you can search for to see past pools. I would do the same exact thing if we could have at least 25 Huddlers step up to grab 4 squares/boxes each ($20 for 4 boxes). As I said if we can get 50 Huddlers or enough Huddlers who want more than 4 boxes to fill 2 sheets than so be it. Post here or PM me if you want in and how many boxes you're interested in taking... There are 2 options to pay- 1) cash, check or money order via snail mail to: Scott Ryan 1802 Duke Drive Woodbridge, NJ 07095 or 2) PayPal to Swammi for $20 for 4 boxes or $40 for 8 boxes. Swammi's info- hotelbrewer at hotmail dot com Please make sure you send it as a gift, and please make no reference to gambling/pool, as it will get his account frozen. Also, make sure you put your Huddle name in the subject line, so Swammi knows who the payment is from. Savage Beatings
Does 4 boxes cost a total of $20, or $20 per box?

irish
Does 4 boxes cost a total of $20, or $20 per box? $5 per box and since I usually give 4 boxes per Huddler, per sheet, it's $20. I'll probably put together a 2nd sheet so you can grab 4 more if you want on the 2nd sheet. I'll do 4 or more . Are you not hooking up with somebody with a paypal acct? I've hooked up with Swammi in the past if there was a need for paying through paypal. I believe when putting together the 2nd sheet last year that people did pay pal with him. We'll see... i_am_the_swammi
I've hooked up with Swammi in the past if there was a need for paying through paypal. I believe when putting together the 2nd sheet last year that people did pay pal with him. We'll see... Its up to Irish, but I am fine with that...just so long as everyone paying pays $20.60...last year, I think I covered a few bucks in fees because people sent the exact amount (PP charges 3%). Anyone sending checks can do so directly to Irish (not sure when/how he'll post his address). Anyone paying via PP....if its OK with him, I'll post my PP info here after the Championship games. At that point, we'll also know exactly what everyone owes (some have volunteered to take multiple sets of boxes, or be in multiple pools). I definitely appreciate the offer and will take you up on it as I did last year. So there are 2 options to pay 1) cash check or money order via snail mail or 2) PayPal to Swammi. I will revamp the original post.

Warn everyone not to mention anything about gambling. Not even a hint!!!! I believe if it's sent as a gift, there is no 3% surcharge, but either way, just let me know. Puddy
We just used League Safe for the MVP memorial challenge this year. Each person just goes to that site and pays directly. The commish allocates winnings when it's over and the winners select their payment method. If you accept a prepaid visa card there is no fee. Nominal fee otherwise. I am completely done using PayPal for these types of events. My account was flagged when collecting cash for MVP and they froze it and made me sign an agreement that I won't use it against their policy. Not worth the hassle IMO. Just another option. Sounds like that could be a future option and I may look into it but for this year, I'm going to keep it to the 2 options mentioned above. Thanks for the info Puddy. irish
I have updated things to this point and we have 8 spots left on the first sheet and only me listed for the 2nd sheet. If anyone from the first sheet wants in on the 2nd let me know. Otherwise, there are a total of 32 (4 boxes per spot) spots remaining, 8 on the first sheet and 24 on the 2nd.
