DMD
Twitter is astir with the HOU Chron reporter saying Foster may not be ready week one. If I'm Kubiak and Arian Foster has a back injury that's requiring injections and feeling pain in legs, I'm worried about him for opener. And ratchet down a bit more on the rankings... keggerz
When you say someone has a back issue it could be muscular or spine/nerve...when you say they are having pain into their leg that most likely speaks to spine/nerve. The shot(s) could give him relief from the pain but that doesn't fix the pain. Edited August 19, 2013 by keggerz
Scorcher
So as a Foster keeper I should pick up Tate ASAP?
stethant
I'd suspect this is a disk impinging on a nerve. Suboptimal.
Axe Elf
So as a Foster keeper I should pick up Tate ASAP? Yes. Or Jamaal Charles. Whichever. Edited August 18, 2013 by Axe Elf
Scorcher
Yes. Or Jamaal Charles. Whichever. What is the purpose of this? Of course Charles is long gone. Is Charles the handcuff for for Knile Davis?
Jenkinssssss
Thanks for your buyins, Foster owners.

Goopster24
Not touching Foster even if he fell to me at 12. Rather get Tate later in the draft.
MTSuper7
Leg pain via back pain does not automatically mean a nerve issue.
keggerz
Leg pain via back pain does not automatically mean a nerve issue. I've edited my response, but I'd be shocked it if wasn't nerve issue either from the shots or a disc impingement
Scooby's Hubby
Now owners have to think about the possibility of gambling on him. The only problem with that is if he is healthy enough to dress, then how much of a split would there be if both he and Tate get carries. It could be that neither would warrant a start compared to the other backs you could pick, instead. I am hoping that 21st century medicine and a few more weeks rest make a big difference. Big Dogs
The question becomes, at what point is the risk vs the reward. I've already seen him falling to the 2nd round in mock drafts and he's getting closer to the 3rd round. In one of my drafts, I have the #1 pick. If he by chance fell all the way to me at the end of the 2nd, I'm not sure I could pass up on the potential he represents at that point. DMD
I would guess that in most drafts he won't make it out of the first round barring any more bad news. This is all starting to feel negative and like it is more than has been publicized. I put him into RB2 territory that I thought would keep most from drafting him. The more casual drafters may not run from him like the more astute ones that would be drafting this early. Draftng him and Gronkowski would be wild right now. Might be unstoppable. Might have nothing.

tazinib1
I'm trying to trade Foster as we speak...this thread does not bode well for me.
MikesMarauders
This is going injury that will affect him all season long. He is off of all my draft boards..........WOW that help my minor headache is going away
PPIchamp
I just saw Foster, taken high once again, #2 overall in a 10 team 2QB pay league just last night, 9PM draft. I've been staying away from him in all my pay league drafts over the last weeks' time. Working for me, helped me land Martin at #4, and Rice at #10 in a 14 team 1QB. Scorcher
When you think that they must have top sports medicine Drs. and this is the best they can do, not a good sign at all. I am stuck with him, maybe a good run later in the season.
irish
Foster' s got some great value now.
Savage Beatings
Last year I got Adrian Peterson at 1.10 and ended up with the Championship. Talent finds a way. But then again, I don't want to be the one who ends up with Shaun Alexander after 2005.
Chief Dick
Feelin' pretty dandy about sniping Ben Tate in the 10th. Yeah, I grabbed him late in my local draft this past weekend. Might be my best pick of the night. Edited August 19, 2013 by Chief Dick

awahl63
Roomate drafted him #2 last night and snagged Gronk as well. He also has D. Thomas + L. Fitzgerald so his team won't be turrible but talk about boom or bust.
Fig19
Feeling better and better about snagging Tate in the 13th round of my draft last night!!
