DMD
No matter what happens, I would be shocked if Manning played again.

Shorttynaz
I think he's already made up his mind - and what better way to go out if they beat Scam Newton and the Panthers.. I don't see how anyone will give him a shot next season - unless it's for just a few bucks as a backup / mentor - not sure he would take it regardless of the team. How fitting would it be if he would accept such a role and backs up Andrew Luck after Hasselback retires (that dude is bound to hang em up). I can tell you one thing though - Ima cry like a little bitch during his retirement press conference - whenever that is.. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14651851/denver-broncos-peyton-manning-told-new-england-patriots-coach-bill-belichick-my-last-rodeo Edited January 27, 2016 by Shorttynaz
AX2RUN
Win or lose this team belongs to Brock in 2016. Denver is in a position where they have to pay Osweiler or risk losing him in free agency and starting at square 1 at QB. They also have to pay a whole host of defensive players most importantly being Von Miller (who won't be cheap). They just payed DT and Wolfe. They can't afford to keep most of the key players they need if they give Manning his $19m next year. That being said, my initial theory about Mannings future got shot to hell when San Fran hired Chip kelly. They were the last of the teams who inquired about him upon his release from Indy who have not made other arangments at QB (Ten = Mariota, Mia = Tannehill). But Peyton is not a Kelly prototypical QB, so that's out the window. I think the only team in the NFL who would take a chance on a 1 year SB or bust deal for Manning (that he would agree to play for) is the Houston Texans. The only reason I say that is because they have the defense to support a weakened Manning and decent enough RBs to take pressure off of him. And arguably a top 5 WR in Hopkins. If you really look at that scenario, it almost looks like a 2015 Denver Broncos clone only with a lesser secondary. Also there were rumors that Denver had tabled trade talks with Houston prior to restructuring Mannings contract last off-season. Obviously Denver denied that, but I believe there's some truth to it. Barring that scenario I think he retires. But after he becomes the CEO of papa johns, he will reappear as a QB coach or OC somewhere. Even though Manning caused me a lot of frustration this season, I'll be sad when he finally walks away. sksmith
The joy of a super bowl victory will make the decision to retire easy and natural. The pain of another super bowl loss and the knowledge of what another full season would require physically and mentally (just to get to the playoffs) will make the decision to retire easy and natural

stevegrab
I guess I'll stand on an island by myself, he's back with the Broncos next year win or lose. Though the points AX2RUN made about the salaray and free agents they need to sign could mean the Broncos cut him.
darin3
Denver wins he's definitely done. If they lose I think he'll probably still retire... "hey, it was a good run".
Riffraff
Don't mind either way as long as it's not a retire/unretire/retire/unretire scenario like Favre.

Brett Favre isn't a 6'5" 230lb QB with a laser rocket arm. One of my all time favorite - probably most underrated commercial he did

Gopher
Either way, I think it's a 90% chance it's Option A (retires). It's almost a guarantee he won't be with Denver, which means that if he doesn't retire, he runs the risk of being the guy nobody wants. I don't think Peyton wants to go out that way. Man...if that PFM was under center with this Broncos team it would be one boring blowout Super Bowl. And I think he retires no matter what happens.

AX2RUN
Well by the laws of Disney feel-good sports hero movies, Manning MUST give a fiery pep talk to his team at halftime facing a seemingly insurmountable deficit. During this speech he will reveal that this is his last game and it will motivate the team enough to meet the challenge of mounting a 4th quarter comeback.
