Menudo's 2005 NFL Predictinos

I know it is a little bit early for this, but it is Friday, I am bored, so I put together some predictions. The way I did this, was that I got an NFL Schedule, and worked week 1 through 17 highlighting who I thought would win each game without thinking of records as I did it, and then I just tallied up the totals at the end. If you don't like what I have your team at, let me know and I can give you the breakdown of how I have it. O.k. Rip away....

If the Titans go 8-8, Jeff Fisher should be named coach of the year and immediately enshrined in Canton...

As long as they get his moustache just right on the plaque. I understand things are down in Titan land, I was surprised that I gave them this many wins as well.

They did go 15-1 last year and lost in the AFC Championship, so I don't think it is that far-fetched...... :D

They won all of 5 games last year. Since then, they have lost the following starters due to salary cap he!!: DE Kevin Carter; DE Carlos Hall; CB Samari Rolle; CB Andre Dyson; S Lance Schulters; WR Derrick Mason; FB Robert Holcomb, OT Fred Miller. For them to win 3 more games than they did last year would be unthinkable. I think we are looking at a Lionesque 4 to 5 win season... :D

I figured you put your predictions in a poetic format :D

Like your NFC North predictions but see the bottom two teams closer to 7-9

Like the Redskins as a dark horse for the playoffs. I cant get behind the Seahawks, think the Saints should be better than Atlanta this year, and think Denver and Green Bay will be better than you do.

But overall, good job, and everythink in there is entirely reasonable and possible.

:D Congratulations!  You are officially the first person to hop on the Seahawks bandwagon to the Super Bowl.

There will be many more to follow, just like every other year.....

Thanks, but I have them losing in the NFC Championship game. :D

They do have a cake schedule though. Outside of Week 1 & 2, their schedule can't get much easier. If they were the Titans of old, they'd be looking at a 12 or 13 win season. Supposively they do have some great rookie and 2nd year players right now. So I agree with the Titans going 8-8. Nice picks!

The Cards should be much better than a 4 win team, especially in that division.

I actually tend to agree with you, but their schedule is pretty tough, especially the 2nd half of the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see them do better than that though.

I think you are right about Miami, unless they get a DT and Shulters or Law via FA. Rookie coach, new system on both sides of the ball, and some very old players on D, along with a bad QB situation, a rookie RB..... and playing against 3 very good defenses in the AFC East, I think it will take Saban a year or two to turn the Phins around.

I have the Jets at 10 wins. The offense should be better, and they haven't lost much in the way of players from last year. I think Losman makes it hard for the Bills to finish with 8 wins.

I was really surprised to see you pick the Steelers though! :D

I know picking the Thugs AKA Ravens to make the playoffs is a bit of a reach  :D

869875[/snapback]

I think picking the Ravens and Steelers one game apart at the top of the division (regardless of order) is dead on.

The Steelers winning the Super Bowl, that's what I think is a stretch. Last year was a hell of a year, they'd have to better it.

Agree with this. Even though Denver's schedule is brutal, I think they will do much better than predicted here. Hell, they'll win 6 games before their bye week.
