Well I have some money but no dignity. I'm not sure how I would fair.

I have a feeling that this thread has officially doubled next year's Huddler turnout.

Are you planning next year's Sky?

WCOFF '05 was generally just the Huddlers that were in WCOFF and were drafting... and me and BC. And sky, of course. This year was chock full of new WCOFF drafters AND people there just for the experience. I trust that next year will be even bigger.

While I got a response open, I have a few more things to add (big shock there) about the trip, and specifically the people I was so fortunate to meet (and meet again in some cases).

Big Country - well I've met this fella a few times, starting with some SoCal Huddle meet-ups, a trip to a local Indian Casino, and now two WCOFFs. Real cool guy, to say the least. I'm honored to be in WCOFF with him and a few others (who'll be mentioned next).

bushwacked - along with BC and Puddy, one of the first Huddlers I met. I had never really said anything to him or about him on the boards, but he noticed that Puddy, BC and I were chatting about meeting up (gosh, this was a year+ ago) and he ended up meeting us. Cool guy, we have a lot in common. He's also a member of the WCOFF team mentioned above. Oh, and his wife is hot

godtomsatan - came recommended by bushwacked to join our WCOFF team, and is a quality guy. Spent a bit of time with him in Vegas as he was one of the few earlier arrivals, like myself. Definitely a good guy, can't wait to visit him and the other Seattle Huddlers.

Chargerz - have met him a few times, and spain hit the nail on the head: he's so easy-going, friendly... but still has plenty of personality and has so many great stories. Just don't order him garlic fries at baseball games. :D

Big John - the gentle giant... he's a quiet one, but what a nice guy! Even if he's a Packer fan, I would love to meet up with him again and talk about all the great - and funny - things The Huddle has to offer.

SteelBunz - as I expected, just a wonderful, glowing young lass. Because we were off doing tons of WCOFF things, I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked with her. But there's always WCOFF '07! :brow:

REZ - have met REZ before (in a BOTH league w/ him), and he's a lot like Chargerz: easy going, yet personable. Fortunately got to see a little more zing in his step this trip. :brew:

Jedi - not really a Tailgater, but met him twice now at WCOFF and he always has the good hookups for sports viewing!

JoJo - also met JoJo through our BOTH league. Another great guy, despite being a cowboy fan.

H8Tank - met H8 at last WCOFF and as previously stated, there's no one on this board that you'll be more shocked to meet than H8. Let's just say he talks a mean game on the boards, but he's just a big ole kitty catcat in person. A genuine guy that can party like a rock star.

I Like Soup - speaking of partying, this little feller can put down drinks like no other. He puts H8 to shame. I don't know where he puts it all. Maybe one of his little legs is actually just a beer receptacle. Short or not, this is one of the best dudes on the Huddle. Full of energy, always joking around, but you can tell he's an intelligent dude.

twiley - no offense to those Huddlers I have yet to meet, but there were two Huddlers at the top of my list that I have been most looking forward to meeting: whomper and twiley. Came close to meeting whomp in NYC a few weeks back, but alas, that must wait. But finally got a chance to toss back multiple drinks with this cat in Vegas. spain's assertion that twiley is a modern-day Arthur nearly made me spit water out my nose when I first read it. He really does always have that chit-eating grin on his face, complete with spilling drink. In all seriousness, though, twiley is a great guy to just kick back and shoot the chit with, drunk or not. I know that he will be part of the WCOFF Party Crew for years to come.

Jumpin Johnies - speaking of the WCOFF Party Crew, I honestly hope this guy comes back each year too. Admittedly, I didn't know what to think of this guy from his board persona. He is often contraversial and pushes the envelope. But in person? A soft-spoken pretty boy that wears more pink than Strawberry Shortcake. But a genuinely good guy and I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy my time with him.

Six Kings - didn't get a chance to really chat him up, but at least the guy knows what to do in Vegas!

RockRobn - had already met him in Chicago, and didn't get to talk to him and his wife too much... but sure glad I got the chance I did. What a great guy and gal! See you in Chicago sometime soon!

crispirons - Chicago guy, so that's a good thing... knows the ins and outs of Vegas, which is also a good thing... glad to have met the guy despite not knowing much about him from the boards..

slugfear - sky's son... have met him before, but this time was better since we got a chance to really know the guy... hope he makes some time to visit us here and recount some good Vegas stories!

spain - man, where do I start? This guy cracks me up. At first, I thought he was a hillbilly nincompoop that simply came online to stir the pot. As my board visits increased, I figured the guy out and man, I can't tell you how much I laugh over some of his stuff. As you can see in his posts here in this thread, the guy is funny. And a good guy in person, don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

skippy - like Bunz, I didn't get to hang out with him enough, but I'm glad I got to meet him, 'cuz he's obviously a quality person. Hope you can spend more time next year, Skip!

DMD - met DMD last year at WCOFF, and without sounding like too much of a suck-up :woot: ... DMD's a great guy, obviously a football genius and savvy businessman... 'cuz just look at this place!

WW - pretty much ditto w/ DMD, above...

:D hmmmmm...

oh yeah, and there's that sky guy - already gave him his due props in several other threads, but I'd be remiss to not thank him again for his hospitality... if the Tailgate has it's patriarch, it's gotta be sky (no, that's not an age knock, just a respect comment! :pop:)

Again, if I've missed any Vegas participants, my apologies...

There have been a few others that I've met outside of WCOFF (rbmcdonald, Gopher, gilthorp, Pud, Brentastic) and Swiss at last year's WCOFF - also great people. :bash:

Speak for yourself old man... :D

LOL

This was the first time in a very long time that I didn't leave ahead in the winnings department. But I think it is because I didn't come close to gambling as much as I have in past trips and didn't give myself the chance to recoup from the losses.

Think you and BC were the big winners this time around. :D

I got my butt kicked! :yay: Played many hours. Won a little at the carnival games & vid poker, but BlackJack busted my jellies! :woot: Had a run for about 20 mins. Picked up $500-$600. Then in the next 10 mins, I lost it all!!!!

Chit, doublin' on A-4 against a 6, and they pull a 21 out of their butt! :brow: Splitting A's and getting another A and a 2!!!! :pop: In a single deck game!!!! :bash:

I still had fun though!

It was great meeting all the Huddlers. I can't say anything that hasn't been said, 'cept:

Darin:Great Guy! Let me know when you come back to Chi!

Chargerz:So calm for a Gyno Guy! A sweatheart! But he's a month younger than me!

JJ:  I love ya Kid! But don't pick me up again.....You may blow out a nut or two! :D Great person also!

Rez:Quiet....Great Guy!

Big John:Best Person at the Huddle! :bash:

Sky:2nd time seein' him in a month! Love ya bro!

Crispy:Met ya, hugged ya, and then I lost track of ya! :D We got to get together in Dec!

H8:WOW! Not what I expected. And that's a good thing!

Twiley:He looked like Buddy Holly! Didn't talk w/ him a lot, but he's got my $$$! :brew:

DMD & WW:They look alike! TY for the Partay!

BC:Nice guy!

Slugfear:Not at all like Sky, IMHO!! :yay: But none the less a great person! Where'd you get your tallness from?

GTS:Quality person!

Spain:Who is he??? I know I smelled a sheep in the room, but never saw him!:yay:

Bushwacked: Man I know I met Ya but we never got a chance to talk! :yay:

JoJo:Old guy. Did you get your walker fixed?

Soup:I couldn't see his face. I think it's an altitude thing. My old eyes vs his tallness!

Skippy:My man! Had a great time w/ you and John at the BJ table! We WILL play together again!

BUNZ:XXXOOOXXX What a sweetie! Giggly, beautiful, just a great person! Love Ya Hon! :bash:

Six Kings:We met, Nice guy, but didn't get a chance to talk!

Dam, if I missed someone, I apologize! :yay: OLD TIMER'S DISEASE!

Thanks Bro. Right back at you and same goes for JJ. 2 huddlers that I've been wanting to kick it with for some time and we definitely tore chit up. You can guarantee I'll be a part of the crew for years to come. :D

Everyone else... I didn't really know what to expect (well, except for H8 and Soup) but you all exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to do it again. Soup and H8...that conversation we had Sunday evening was priceless...I've never laughed so hard in my entire life.

I'm glad I pissed off my wife and stayed an extra day.:D

Who's Buddy Holly? Is he some old dude? :D:lol:

Sorry we couldn't talk more, I was almost on a 12 hour binge at that point in the evening and my mind and motor skills were elsewhere. Look me up if you ever come to The Lou.

The only 2 "quiet Huddlers" who were there this weekend were me and GodTomSatan, and since I decided I didnt want to kill the buzz I had going after 12 drinks, I didnt go eat. It might have been GTS...

If he was on the other end of my see-saw it may have been JoJoTheWebToedBoy. He was sitting to my right. Although I bet she was talking about me. :D

It was JoJo.....at some point after dinner, JoJo, BJ, Rez and I were going to make our way back to the MGM. JoJo and BJ caught a cab.....and I went with Rez to find his truck parked in the parking garage.....LOL. We wanted to go back close to the Hawthorne so they could call it an early night for WCOFF drafting the next day. :D

My earlier post was written this morning when I hadnt even slept all night and was still drunk. I took a little catnap on the couch, and then went with Big John and Skippy to meet RocknRobn for lunch over at the Flamingo. We just sat around and talked trash about the poor bastages that were too stupid or too broke to come to Vegas as we laughed heartily at your misfortune. We are special, and you arent. And thats all I have to say about that. I wanted to get in the Caesars Palace Poker tournament but missed it. Got on a waiting list to play some cash games and waited around for 45 minutes and never got a seat so I left. Came back to the room to decide on a strategy. We are meeting DMD and WW tonight at 7:00 so I might just get ready now and just go play in their poker room until then

Ok, Big John was filling in the spaces in my memory about what all happened last night because I was a little on the inebriated side and cant remember alot of it. I do remember upon first meeting H8tank saying, "dude, I had no idea you were gay" :brow: With the bleach blonde hair and effiminent mannerisms he is like a walking neon sign saying "I am here, I am queer, deal with it". Anyway, although H8tank is not actually gay he does take some pride in his metro-sexual appearance. So, several times during the night, I would approach a random female and bring her over to H8tank and say, "Now you tell me honey, does this flamer look like a big homo to you"? Ive have never laughed so hard in my life at their responses. One girl said, "well, I really dont like to hurt other peoples feelings, but..." :pop: All in good fun to be sure.

I like Soup is insane. Seriously, not kidding. I have requested that he seek the advice of a qualified mental health expert in his area asap. Dude is a couple french fries short of the proverbial Happy Meal. He makes my obsession seem like the last bastion of lucidity on the planet. But definitely alot of fun to drink and party with for sure. I know that I am running with a bad crowd when I am the most stable and the least drunk of the group. Thats probably the one thing that I didnt like about Soup was that after I had been drinking 15 hours straight and was as drunk as Otis Campbell, I could still tell that Soup was drunk! :D My boy had been hitting the sauce pretty hard or else his 6'5" frame just doesnt have a tolerance for juice.

The dealers at the Tropicana can all kiss my ass. The most unfriendly mofo's that I have ever seen. That table was hotter than a 10 peckered Billy Goat and the only voice in the place that you could hear was mine. And as anyone who knows me will attest, I am a very quiet introverted sort of person. But the dealers just didnt make it fun. So, me, CrispIrons, and GodTomSatan decided to just take over the dam table and run the show. Well, those 2 didnt, but I did and unlike here at the huddle, I didnt give a flip who I offended. You have never been to heaven until you have stood next to a drunk redneck screaming in Spanglish at the top of his lungs at a dice table at 2:00 am. It just doesnt get any better than that ladies and gentlemen.

Bushwacked and his lovely wife :brew: were also there. I did not expect him to have a buzz cut. When we met I didnt know if I should shake his hand or give him the Nazi salute. Dude looks like he is straight off the pages of Stormfront.com. :D This man was also three sheets to the wind. I kept asking myself, how can all of these people actually be drunker than me? It just didnt make sense. Bushwacked still regrets not taking me up on my offer to come down and watch the Titans/Seahawks in a luxury box last year. But hopefully he, and his lovely wife :woot: will make it down to Nashville sometime soon.

More of Spains takes on the Skylive crew later. I need 1 bourbon 1 scotch and 1 beer!

I need to party with you people. I'm coming next year dam it.

Your definition not mine! Hell...........they didn't even allow R&R in your neck of the woods until about 1999! :D

I can't stop reading this stuff, but the more I read, the more upset I become.

I wish I could have been there, y'all. I can already tell I would have gotten along GREAT with Spain, our newest Huddle's Hero.

We had a great time in '05, but the lesson here is: More Huddlers = Even more fun. :D

I WILL be there in '07. :D
