Whiskey Pimp
I don't have a social security number so even Big John can't get that on me. Can one of the commishes confirm that the true reason you decided to let current HAG members move to priority was so Blitz would continue to do the stats? Nice work Blitz, looks like I only have the 2008 season to sit out assuming 2 in PRT don't bail and then 9 years in the same league.

If Blitz quits we'll engage in a hazing ritual and make someone on the waiting list do it Probably the youngest person Here's the thing people don't understand about the waiting list thing... We had some knock-down, drag-out, unfriendly discussions in the early days of HAG on many issues. This was one of those issues. Some people wanted to give priority to people in the league, and some wanted to be fair to anyoone trying to get in. The loudest on making this something that any Huddle memeber could have a good chance of getting into was Skylive5. That was part of his vision when the whole HAG concept started to form. In the end, we all wanted to respect his vision and reasoning. It seemed like the right thing to do as far as everyone was concerned. (If that sounds like he was a man alone at first, it is not the case. We had a fairly even split) When it came right down to it, and we started to put out the things that we had worked out for consumption, the people that wad wanted a more open league were surprised to find out how much people didn't want to be put in a position to not have a preferred spot in the next league up. They didn't forsee the level of ownership and attachment that had occurred. The reason it took so long to come out with the rule is that we had to cover all of the angles and find some commish help from NVN to vote on it. Everyone saw quickly that this was the one issue that could spiral into a big mess, and we wanted to make sure it was taken care of properly. That's how we will try to handle all issues going forward.
Down Goes Frazia
after reading this.... it's clear that the Gen-Lost league will be welcoming a new member THIS coming year. We're losing a owner & have noone moving up.

NSab
If there are still guys like Whomper, that can't get in and want to, I still suggest running HAGII as a sister league to HAG, samre rule , same everything, just so more can play. If anyone has interest speak up! Edited January 13, 2006 by NSab

The idea of a HAG-a-tory league is not quite dead yet. There is still some discussion on it. The HAG commish group prefers to focus on what changes we need to make on our charter for now. Once we have that nailed down there will be more energy/attention to focus on things like a waiting list league. I don't want to discourage a second set of HAG leagues by any means. If there is that many people wanting to play, then by all means go for it. Waiting lists are a kind of necessary evil here, though. It will be tough to maintain a 48 member league (which is what we have effectively just turned this into) with the age groups as a main component without a waiting list. Having 2 could be a real challenge. Unless there is already a hugh member list wanting to form another set, I suggest letting another month pass before working too hard to drum up another 12 per age group. We'll know by then if the waiting list league has any legs.
