slickvick
Yeah I know it is only week 5 but this team is so far the most dominant I can remember in recent history. The whole package is there this year, ferocious defense and an extremely balanced offense. So is anyone willing to say the Bears go 16-0? Sgt. Ryan
The Bears will probably go 1 and out again in the playoffs this year as well. But to answer your question about the reg season, no. They will lose at least 4 games.

cdrudge
The whole package is there this year, ferocious defense and an extremely balanced offense.I wouldn't say they have an extreamly balanced offense. I would drop the balanced part. So far they haven't exactly had much competition this year and their schedule doesn't get a whole lot harder except for a few weeks. My guess is that they don't go undefeated. I'd say lose 2-3 games.
Hugh 0ne
Will Grossman break a bone this year? I have consulted with the HUGHIE board, a close relative of the WIEGIE board, and the answer is yes. After which, the Bears will struggle mightily and fall from grace and Vikings fans around the globe will rejoice.
TimC
Explain please. Because Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota and Buffalo will not be in the playoffs to cakewalk over. Edited October 9, 2006 by TimC
Goopster24
The three game east coast road trip will be tough. If they get through that, watch out....
Goopster24
Because Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota and Buffalo will not be in the playoffs to cakewalk over. Ignorance is bliss. Are you blaming the Bears cause they have an easy schedule? Or that the rest of the NFL blows? As a Bears fan, I apologize for kicking everyone's ass. Maybe you can go get a tatoo of Rex Grossman's nutsack on your ass.

The rest of the NFL doesn't blow (well, the majority does) but even the staunchest Bears fan has to admit the NFC North blows this year more than Jim McMahon's headband collection. Riffraff
Possible losses: Nov 5 Miami Nov 12 @N.Y. Giants Nov 26 @New England Dec 3 Minnesota Dec 31 Green Bay I figure they lose 2 division games, 1 being week 17 against Green Bay when they already have a play-off spot locked up. Savage Beatings
They are certainly one of the best teams in the league (if not the best) but consider that they were lucky to get out of Minnesota with a win, and frankly (even as a diehard Vikings fan) Minnesota is just a middle of the road team right now. Also, consider how close the Titans v. Colts game was this last week... obviously two very different teams, but the speculation was that the Colts would totally blow out the Titans. But any given Sunday... blah blah blah. If they get to 10-0, then it might be time to speculate on an undefeated season. Prior to that and you've got your proverbial cart before your horse IMHO. Savage, I agree with you for the most part. The Bears team is getting better every week and something we didn't have against you guys was a solid rushing attack. That is coming alive and the offensive is becoming more balanced. I agree with the fact of "Any Given Sunday". Because of that, a win is a win and a win like a 40-7 win is quite impressive none the less.
