Gopher Posted January 28, 2011 Share Posted January 28, 2011 Thoughts, good vibes, mojo, or whatever you've got. I got a call from my mom a few minutes ago... My cousin, Megan (who is in her early 20's), went in for a fairly routine surgery, and her heart stopped unexpectedly, apparently. She has been transferred to Abbott Northwestern in the Twin Cities, for emergency surgery on her heart, and it sounds like she is currently fighting for her life. She's always been considered a true life miracle, and a fighter... born with only two chambers in her heart, surgeries have always been a big part of her life. This was supposed to be a fairly routine operation, but something went wrong. I'll post some more details, on her background, later. Please pray for her. Sounds like they were able to get her heart started again. Not sure how stable she is, at the moment, but I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for the good thoughts. Her husband is currently serving in Afghanistan, so I'm sure being so far away is extra tough on him/them, considering her condition. In fact, it's very likely that he's not even aware of what's happened in the past few hours (although I'm pretty sure he was aware that she was scheduled for surgery today).
