CaP'N GRuNGe
Should also be added to the worse team thread as a case for the Rams if it goes through.

MikesVikes
The league already has Al Davis. Why would it need Limbaugh?
BearBroncos
Limbaugh is an arrogant A-hole but one thing I do know for sure, he loves football and would do anything to have a winning team. It might be in the Rams best interest to have an owner like him. Wonder what he would rename the stadium???? Obama is the Debil arena? He was a disgusting, racist pig on ESPN and he needs to go pop some pain pills and join the rest of his psychotic, idealogical right wing nut jobs and stay away from football! SeductiveNun
I agree with muck on this, what is the big deal if he ends up owning the Rams? So to some people he is a right wing whackjob who elicits a vitriolic hatred from them, therefore he shouldn't own a team? What if Micheal Moore tried to buy an NFL team? Could not the same argument be made about him, only from those who disagree with him from the other side of the political spectrum? And I think it's very close-minded to automatically say you would hate the team or categorize as one of the most hated franchises if this were to happen. There are a lot of actors/musicians/individuals I don't agree with on their political views or their beliefs, yet still enjoy the product they put out there. It's entertainment, and while this may fall under the topic of sports, it's still entertainment. Anyone who had no problem with the team in the past and then goes out and condemns that team just because of a change of ownership strikes me as rather shallow. And it's not like the rest of the NFL owners are a collection of choir boys either.

MikesVikes
He's a complete tool and would be a scar on the league? Absolutely he would. He got fired from the booth but now he's good enough of a guy to own a team? Plus as we have now experienced, it isn't easy to get rid of an owner just because he's stupid or senile. You can't fire the owner after he makes a statement that he shouldn't make.

SeductiveNun
Do you remember what Marge Schott did for the public image of the Cincinnati Reds? I do, she was a total trainwreck. That being said, while I couldn't stand her or what she represented, that didn't make me hate the Reds. Maybe I'm just splitting hairs here. Savage Beatings
What if Micheal Moore tried to buy an NFL team? He would redistribute all of his best players to the other 31 teams. The remaining players would all have equal salaries and would rotate positions each week. On the plus side, their uniforms would probably be made from hemp and the concession stands would start stocking Twinkies.
STL Fan
I wish the same for him that he wished for the President of the United States. I hope he fails. Do owners have to take drug tests? You do realize that the revenue sharing that has allowed the NFL to become so successful and so popular is socialist redistribution at its finest right?
