Yeah, that's about right. If it weren't for the Jets brutal schedule against the run I'd be higher on him. But, 27 picks in, its hard to walk away from the value. But I'd pass on him in lieu of a top 6 WR in the 2nd round, given the option.

He and Pittman were both like that in AZ. One of them made the comment that when you are losing as much as they were you spend a lot of time in the weight room. David Boston was there at the same time.

However, the way he appears to have bulked up, he could be a nice steal in fantasy drafts this year. [/url]

Unless he changes his running style that bulk isn't going to do him any good. It is just going to slow him down. All he did last year is dance around and was afraid to get hit. He would not lower his shoulder for anything.

in a PPR league, he's gonna be a beast, since Chad can't throw more than 30 yards

Pennington threw for the 10th most passing yards in 2006 (3352), and only 3 starting QBs bested his 64.5% completion percentage. Chad also made all but two of the Jets' passing attempts last year. So its foolish to doubt Chad's passing abilities.

Also, only 44 (a mere 14%) of the Jets' receptions went to halfbacks last year. So unless the Jets change their play calling - and they could - it may be wise to temper your PPR expectations for Thomas Jones. However, Jones' above-average 76.6% reception ratio from last year does suggest he'd meet with FF success as a receiver if he saw an increase in total passes thrown his way.

Why would one picture of him make you move him up on the draft board?

Jones has always had strong biceps. As players work on strength training in the offseason, you'd expect them to look their biggest at this time of the year. Besides, just because a guy likes the weight room and is jacked does not mean he'll be any better than you had him prior to seeing that picture.

He's been ripped for a long time hasn't he? He had guns at Chicago too.

I'm not sad to see him leave the NFC North. :D

Jones has been ripped for a long time and is a workout fiend in the weightroom. He looked like that for the last few years. His biceps are sort of his calling card.

27th is middle of the 3rd. I'd pass on him too in the second if I knew I could get him next round :D
