Savage Beatings
I happen to think that despite their terrible backfield, that Houston has a decent chance at making a post-season run for the Superbowl this year (provided everyone stays healthy). That got me to thinking, who do you think is the worst starting RB for a team that has won the Superbowl?

Savage Beatings
Considering their division and the fact they've never had a playoff game in their franchise history, I find that to be a bold call. Well, once you get into the playoffs anything can happen. I think that they can make a run for the playoffs which gives them a fighting chance at the Superbowl. They continue to build a scary good Defense. If Schaub and Andre Johnson can stay healthy, then they at least have a dimension to their offense to build upon. If they can force that mottley crew of RB's into production for a full season, then I would take their odds right now. But that's all just background to the question. And I might just have to agree with you on Tim Smith.

Big John
Edgar Bennett from the Pack . . . lost his job to Dorsey Levens the following season. Bennett suffered a season-ending leg injury in the first pre-season game in 1997 and never fully recovered.
godtomsatan
How can Timmy Smith be the worst RB when he set the Super Bowl record for rushing yards? In Super Bowl XXII (1987), 22 carries for 204 yards and 2 TDs. During the regular season that year with 9 games played, 29 carries, 126 yards, 0 TDs. For his 22 game NFL career, 190 carries, 602 yards, 3 TDs. Maybe Ricky Patton of the '81 49ers also. Antwoine Smith has a 1000 yards season in there somewhere, doesn't he? Bier Meister
Since when does a RB win the SB all by his lonesome? you are absolutely right. a good o-line helps quite a bit. and a. smith wasn't that bad: 1150/12 td's; 200/ 1 td.

darin3
As CN noted in the very first response, it very well could be Brandon Jacobs. If Jacobs impresses this year and beyond, it is probably Antowain Smith.
Bring Back Pat!!!
This get my vote Are you serious or joking? Just in case, OJ Anderson had 6 career 1,000 yard seasons, and 10,273 career yards and 81 TDs. Not a HOFer, but surely not the worst on that list.
