A lot of times it gets long and I grease it down with some sort of hair gel I bought a few years back until I get tired of it and shave it again. Keep it at that length all summer and then let it go shaggy over fall/winter. Don't trim it over this time, but do need to have the wife shave the neckmuff every few weeks.
