I asked a couple of Huddlers, but they basically had no ideas either, except one said I should talk about myself. That made me realize what I should do. Talk about the Huddlers who have made a difference in my life. People who stuck by me in the worst of times, people who have proven to be tried and true friends, people like FWmaker who once offered to give me a ride to a hospital and those who have simply made coming to the Huddle more fun, more enjoyable. So, here goes, but understand, there are far more I would like to add to this list, but for obvious reasons, this post has to have an ending, because I could probably go on for pages from my 6 years of posting here. In no particular order: Stingers: Everyone should be so lucky to have such a loyal, stalwart friend. Rockin Robin: When it was Huddle bandwagon time for some long time posters to be ripping me after a forum conflict, he did not. He defended me when most had me on their chit list. He also knew me better than others did at the time, what kind of man I am, but still, is there a better way to measure a man? To stand up for one when so many others are against him? That is all you need to know about Tom. A true gem I am honored to call friend. SEC: Darn near proposed marriage when he called me an Irish drunk. Few have ever complimented me so highly. I almost accepted till I sobered up. Oh, wait, I haven't sobered up yet. Lord Opie: Being of Irish decent, I am still fearful of Lords. He has to get mentioned or he might take my pigs. Pokerboss, aka slickwillie: Guy just is solid as a rock, great commish, dedicated dad, good friend. Always wants too much in a trade. Rajncajun: We aren’t real tight buddies, I just know him as a league mate and poster. Aside from being a genuinely nice guy, he is just a guy who has been through a lot, but knowing him has both inspired me and made me a better person by his example both on this board, and in life. Roller Coasters: You probably don’t know him unless you are in a league with him, but he is another gem. As commish, covered my dues when I was on my butt. Great sense of humor, and another resilient guy having gone through hurricanes and other trials. Funny how knowing people here makes thing like hurricanes in FL so much less abstract and more personal. Gopher: This year he single handedly saved the Dynasty Wars 2 and 3 leagues. He stepped up to be the treasurer in a league I commish, Redraft wars. As valuable a Huddler as there is. SGT Ryan: Yes, he makes the list. Lord knows that Sarge and I have gone to no holds barred wars here, but, he did introduce me to IDP and the Dynasty Wars leagues. He helped me along the way. The hatchet has been buried for some time now. This is my chance to say thanks for the things he did for me. Big John: Where is the Huddle without the Big man? Keggerz: Probably exchanged more PM’s with Keg than any other Huddler. A good all around guy. He brings some pretty unique IDP content here too. DMD and WW: They host our league forums. They make this place available. I owe them some thanks for that. Correction, many thanks for that. Dirty Sanchez: Ah, the Dirty. I love to call him the dirty. A thorn in my side in my AGS league, but a fun guy to banter with. “We hates the Dirty!” Down goes Frazia: My vote for most respected Huddler now for a couple of years. A man that takes me at my word and has never been let down because of it. Whomper: I just love his schtick. Funny man, good guy. Too bad he has to live in NJ. Well, at least it aint Newark. Scooby: Never has a sweeter more genuine woman ever graced these boards. If I were 20 years younger, I’d go beat the snot out of Scooby’s Hubby and stake a claim! Chargerz: Always there to advise us on just about any health topic. No co-pays either. There are so many others to mention, either for their friendship, their humor or something else. Some few of them I’ve never even had a direct conversation with but: Loaf, Puddy, Shiek, Az, the HUGH’s, Runt, Squeeg, Chief Dick, BierMeister, j2v, Avernus, msaint, SteelBunz, detlef, muck, skippy, Clubfoothead, Zia, Menudo, Weigie, FWmaker, Perch, Swiss, tbimm, Holy Roller, twiley, Ursa, Trots, Nsab, Selly, Darin, Savage Beatings, BS-M,all my league mates and so many others…. I dedicate my 10,000th post to you, the Huddlers who make this place what it is and are the reason I keep coming back to this message board.
