sunysteelfly76
In 1996 I took Tamarick Vanover in the third round. It was going to be his breakout year. Edited July 21, 2005 by sunysteelfly76

Clubfoothead
In 1996 I took Tamarick Vanover in the third round. It was going to be his breackout year. 888273[/snapback] Could be worse. You could have taken Chris Warren #5 overall like I did.
NAUgrad
Last year in a keeper league where I had no good RB's. I grabbed J. Jones, T. Jones, Michael Bennett and Quinton Griffin. The last two really hurt.
nogohawk
First year in the draft at my new firm (2002), was able to snag T. Gonzalez in the 5th round - first TE taken of course, except ... After the laughter subsided, they told me we didn't have to start a TE! Good news is he ended up outscoring a lot of WR's

Savage Beatings
Of recent memory, last year in one of my auction leagues I bid 15% of my cap on Hasselbeck. Waaaaaaaay too much for that schlep! I'll never draft him again let alone pay a premium fee like that.
Gopher
Drafting the Edge #1 overall the year he blew out his knew, although that was unforeseen and can't really be considered a mistake. More of bad luck. I would definitely say drafting William Green in 3 out of 4 leagues two years ago. I think I took him in the 3rd round in all three leagues. What a waste! Dirty Weasel
I drafted Barry Sanders with the #3 pick this year, at my weekly Alzheimer's meeting. I wanted Gayle Sayers, but he went #2.
rhippens
drafted rod gardner in the 2003 season draft after his decent year expecting the "3rd year breakout" to take me to the top. can't remember exactly what round it was, but it was in the top third of the draft. tonyr0802
My biggest mistake was not drafting the guy who scores the most points...
Gunther
Last season, # Player (what I was thinking) 1.5 Clinton Portis (would prove it was not just Denver ) 2.4 Kevan Barlow (he was going to be the linchpin , passed on McAllister) 3.5 Donovan McNabb (okay, this wasn't too bad, was gunning for the McNabb to T.O. combo, but someone grabbed T.O. right after my McNabb pick) 4.4 Stephen Davis ( what the hell was I thinking?!) 5.5 Peerless Price (new scheme would make him "the man" ) 6.4 Keyshawn Johnson (didn't buy into the fact that Tiki had worked out his fumbilities + blind-homerism ) 7.5 Chad Pennington Needless to say, after pulling my head out of my ass, I spent quite a bit on free agents last season (starting with Curtis Martin right after Week 1).I have no f'n clue who slipped me the hallucinogens in my beer prior to the draft...my draft was a travesty. At least my last round draft of Julius Jones paid some dividends at the end of the season. pffffft And now the 4983 league owners are licking their chops.
