lion hunting near miss

I saw this a couple of years ago. From what I can remember, these guys were paid to take out this lion that was harassing some village in Africa. Or something like that.

Hmmm, lets see. We'll move to where the lions live, and if they give us any chit, we'll kill them and then high five each other after they're dead. Of course, now we have those pesky grazers eating our azaleas... :D. Guess we need to shoot them too.

If that were the case it would have been nothing for a professional team to put the lion to sleep & move it to a reserve.

I agree with you 100%. However, if by harrassing they mean that the lion ate up half the village for lunch over a couple days then putting the animal down might've become an option as emotions took over making the decision. :D

My Dad's response when I forwarded this to him...he likes to hunt and has been on two safaris...

"The funny part of this video, it is a staged hunt. If you look closely, the lion is in about a 5 acre "pen". It is an older lion, probably one used for stud service. The sad thing is that it is probably used to humans and that is why it is so docile. In the end, the guy almost gets what he deserves."
