As I reflect, since I’ve joined thehuddle: --My second son, now 9, was born --I’ve directly experienced three hurricanes --My niece, who gave me my username when she was two, is now 13 years old --I’ve been an original member of BOTH Dash-4 for 10 years --My dog, Winnie, has joined the family --I purchased the Big Green Egg and went to Eggtober Fest with Atlanta Cracker and loaf. --9/11 took place. --I’ve enjoyed Florida winning one football Natl Championship and two basketball championships --Right or wrong, America invaded Iraq. --I’ve won three league championships, but never Dash-4. I’ve met the following people, who but for thehuddle, I would have never met: THEKING Kid Cid Atlanta Cracker and his wife loaf Big John Swamp Nuts Jaxfactor Detlef and his wife Audrey Because of my meeting with Kid Cid, I and my family experienced Glacier Nat’l Park. This is one place I think everyone should see before they die. My children still talk about that trip. Because of THEKING, “Lights or Darks” has a special, blurry meaning to me. I have defeated Sacrebleu in unarmed combat. I lost Aqualung. I had my son explain :divingboard: to me. I gained knowledge, advice and assistance in a multitude of areas. From lawn mowers to working with my dog to computers to speed metal to vacation assistance to recipes to politics and the list goes on. I also sometimes picked up a little football insight. I have enjoyed many of other huddler’s successes and triumphs as well as their traumas and losses. Overall, it’s been good fun. I am relatively certain that when DMD and WW first began this website, they had no idea of the community and closeness that would flourish. My thanks to both of you.
