Double prayer request

I believe ; so I ask for this with sincere hope.

My Dad went in last week for a stent, he is 66. Turns out the blockages were to great and to close to the aorta to stent. So now he will be going in for a triple bypass within the next few weeks. He lives on the west coast and I'm on the east, so it is very hard not being near him now.

For myself, I had an x ray done yesterday, doc called today to tell me it showed a questionable nodule in my lung ,and after consulting the pulmo we will have to address it.

While I don't want to jump to conclusions, I do have a history of issues with asthma and was a smoker in the past, so naturally I fear the worst.

TIA.

Prayers sent. I hope everything goes well for both of you. While scary sounding bypass isn't nearly as bad as it sounds. My dad had a quadruple bypass about 15 years ago. My uncle had a triple about 10 years ago. I know technology has improved a lot since then. Good luck.

St. Francis prayer I will recite for you and Dad:

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;

where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,

grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

to be understood, as to understand;

to be loved, as to love;

for it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Amen.
