Ok - Now I'm the one that needs your prayers...

It's not my style to ask this, but I'm gonna anyway. I could use some positive mojo/prayers.

About a month ago I posted that I had said a prayer and it was answered. I'm saying some more today.

I noticed my leg was swollen after work today so I went to the ER. It turns out I have a blood clot in my leg and another in my lung - potentially fatal stuff. I think the lung one may have been what my original prayers were about a while back.

So now I'm at the hospital and will be for 4-5 days at least while they have me on a blood thinner hooked up to all sorts of stuff.

The real question though is why, at 45, and pretty healthy, did I get these clots. They won't know until I'm off the blood thinning medicine in about 6 months when they can do some more bloodwork.

I won't lie. I'm scared. But I'm in the right place (hospital). Hopefully it all turns out ok.

Thanks in advance.

I'm adding my prayers too.

There are some hereditary blood diseases that can predispose a person to blood clots. I'm sure your doc will test for those.

You're definitely in the right place runt. I saw a miracle happen a few weeks ago when my stepdad survived a nasty strep infection. We would have lost him if not for the expertise and technology available in the ICU.

Prayers sent. Have faith and listen to the docs.

sorry to hear, prayers sent for you and your family--is this like what Serena Williams has? Last I read, she was recovering from this and is hoping to return to the court this summer, so it looks like she has averted danger with the help of her doctors. I know u will do the same too. Take care and best wishes for a speedy recovery:)
