MrTed46
I went to see the midnight showing last night..I usually do not go to any midnight showing especially opening night but I was a big fan of hangover. Part 2 is NOT as good as the original but it's still worth seeing. That cast works well together. Go see it if you liked the original. CaptainHook
Agreed. Not as funny as the original, but I still laughed my ass off!

whomper
I'm still not sure what folk saw in the first one. I thought it was a good flick but when people started calling it "The greatest comedy of all time" I found that laughable. The Chinese guy was the funniest part of the first one IMO. The chemistry between the three main characters brings a pleasant balance IMO Mr Chow was jus a bonus
peepinmofo
I think the ruh-tard was the funniest character (Zach Galafianakis)
Puddy
Loved the first one but not the first time I watched it. It's one of those that is better by the third time. And I actually thought Mr. Chow was the worst part of the first movie and it looks like they gave him a bigger role in this one
cliaz
I am one of those people who believe the first one ranks in the top 10 comedies of all times. The chemistry between the three main characters was amazing, the way the story was structures it brought us along with them as they uncovered the events from the night before and it was an out of left field hit (much like dumb & dumber). Every time it comes on now I watch it. I can't wait to see the second one and I already have it in my mind that it wont be as funny as the first one so I shouldn't be disappointed. Big Country
If you liked The Hangover will will also like Bridesmaids ,,, big thumbs up Agreed. bridesmaids was pretty good and can pass as a chick flick with the wife if you do a movie night. have heard Hangover 2 is not as good as the first but still funny and worth a watch, so wife and I are planning to try get out and see it this weekend. We'll also probably take the kids to see Kung Fu Panda
wildcat2334
I disagre. The chemistry between the three main characters brings a pleasant balance IMO Mr Chow was jus a bonus agreed - thought Chow was ok, easily could have done without him to be honest, hopiong they don't overdue it with him in Part II - those 3 morans were great together and all funny in their own way. The photos in the end made the movie, not Chow Can't wait to see II.
Jackass
thought the first one was enjoyable but not in the top 100 as far as best comedies of all time. i saw it after a lot of people were talking about it so my expectations were high. Didn't think Mr. Chow was all that special - feel like i'd seen that character before.

Not expecting the first by any means, probably a bit raunchier this time around.
Seahawks21
I disagree about the Asian guy. Overacting and not funny except for the fact that there was a naked Asian guy in the car. He didn't make the movie. Tyson completely made the movie. There were very few parts I thought were legitimately funny. I'm just not as much for physical comedy as I am clever and subtle comedy. I will say that I enjoyed it the second time more than the first. For those that rate this as a top comedy, how many times do you think you could watch the film and still find it funny? That's usually the comedy test for me. The wife really wants to see #2, so I probably will, but there are a good handful of other films in the theatres I'd prefer to see. I thought Mr. Chow was way over the top and they were trying too hard with the character, especially considering going over the top with the flamboyancy. I do like his standup though! I felt the chemistry among the characters and the way the story unfolded was really what set The Hangover apart as a comedy. It kind of makes me think this is what a comedy would be like if Tarantino or Guy Ritchie did a comedy... Big Country
Saw it today. It met with expectations. Not as good as the first, way over the top, but I was laughing throughout.
Gopher
Haven't seen it yet, but hoping to soon. As for the original, I saw it in the theater... there aren't many movies that have made both my wife and I laugh out loud (especially in the theater), but that one did several times. That said, I'm not sure I would say top ten of all-time. On the other hand, off the top of my head, I'm not sure I can think of ten comedies where I laughed more, either. The one problem I do have with the original is this... There are some comedies that fall into a unique category, in that they had the potential of being an all-time classic, halfway through. But, the second half of the movie doesn't quite live up to the first half. Wedding Crashers and Old School are two good examples... Opening scenes are classics, in my opinion, and the first 30 minutes or so of each is better than the remainder of either movie. In fact, towards the end, there are parts in both where I was bored, frankly... particularly Old School. The Hangover falls into that category on a somewhat lesser scale. The opening scene, as well as a scene where they're doing shots on the rooftop of the casino, are two of the best scenes in the movie. Great dialogue, and just hilarious scenes all around. The rest of the movie is funny, for the most part, but it doesn't match those two early scenes, in my opinion. That's the only problem I have with it... A movie's funniest part(s) shouldn't necessarily be at the beginning, IMO. I did think the Asian dude was over the top. It was still funny, but neither he or Tyson made the movie... That's silly talk. The three main characters, and the interactions between them, is what made the movie what it was (the photos at the end were icing on the cake). I'd say top ten of the last decade, easily. Top ten of all time, I'm not so sure. Like I said, I'm probably not thinking of some comedies that I consider to be classics, but it's hard for me to rattle off ten better comedies. If I were to look at a list, though, I'm pretty sure I could find ten better comedies. Man... Now I'm going to have to watch it again.
