This is getting old really quickly. The only relief I get from this dam thing when I drink. My first crown and coke will be ordered immediately after lunch. Its 5:00 o'clock somewhere... spain Posted April 21, 2007 Author Share Posted April 21, 2007 Im drunk. Here is the problem. Back in the day, in my 20's, some 20 years ago, I could drink men twice my size under the table. This is not bragging at all. Its true and I have countless witnesses who will testify to same, some of whom are still alive. Most of you know my family history, so I wont reiterate it now, but suffice it to say that I have the pedigree to drink. This is my stream of consciousness speaking here so stay with me, please. But in my formative drinking years, say 15-35, it took ALOT of alcohol to get me intoxicated. And by alot, I mean copious amounts that would leave mortal men, and especially Cowboys fans, comatose in a public hospital. You would never know that I was drunk back then until I had drank enough to float a battleship, but at that point it was painfully obvious that I was drunk. Too both me and the police. :shocking But over the past 5-8 years, I can get drunk on 3 or 4 drinks. 3 drinks and I am f'n loaded. But I can drink 40 more and get no drunker. How can this be? Let me say it again for you slows, I can get drunk very easily, but can never get drunker no matter how much I consume. My lovely wife, the saint that she is, has said she has never seen me drunk. Or a better way to put it is she cant tell when I am drunk. And she has seen me put away some booze, but she says the only difference is that I slip back into a very defined southern accent, and I get LOUD! That will come as a shock to those of you who know me. All that to say that I know how many drinks I have consumed so far. I am starting a contest right now. The person who guesses the the closest to the number of crown and cokes that I drink tonight, will get the $50 wager of his choice courtesy of your truly. The wager will be made tomorrow after I sober up and am able to drag myself back down to the casino. I will post the total number of drinks on this site when I drag my ass back in sometime in the wee hours of the morning. Guess wise and guess high because big daddy is about to go have some fun!
