New Years Eve Plans

:D:D working :wacko::D

Actually, running a restaurant on NYE is pretty fun and, as a bonus, you make some nice scratch. People are typically in a very festive mood and, at a point, you just end up getting paid to party. The other good thing is that you're fine to drive when it's time to go home. You're too busy to do more than have a glass or two of champagne and that's spread out over several hours anyway.

We're stepping it up this year in terms of the menu. Over the last year we've gotten a bit of a rep for throwing down some pretty cool tasting menus, so we're a bit more on the radar regarding baller New Years options.

My buddy and I are flying down to ATL on the 28th and meeting up with our other buddy...Maybe a lunch at Fogo on Saturday. Don't know if he's having a party or we're hitting the scene on New Year's though...

Watch some football, maybe have a drink or two, hit the rack by 9 or so.

Same thing I have been doing for the last 20 to 30 years or so, except for 2000 when we actually stayed up 'til midnight. LOL

This sounds like my New Years Eves.

New Years Eve and St. Patricks Day are for the amateurs. :D

Depends on where the Bucks end up. Cali or Louisiana

Hoping for Louisiana, I've never been down there before.

Looks like you got your wish. Been there a couple of times, it's a blast especially when there's a big game. I went for a Dallas game a few years ago, but it was a week before the LSU / Oklahoma national title game. There was already a ton of fans from both schools there making for a great football atmosphere.

Be sure to go to Pat O Briens for a great time. Also, I know there is a lot of great food there, but the best burger I ever had was at Port of Call.

Had my Vols beat LSU, I was strongly considering making this trip.

Me and the Mrs. usually do a nice dinner out (early - before 7 PM) then, if anything, go to the local volunteer fire company/social hall for the rest of the evening. :wacko:

But usually ends up being a quiet evening at home (and sometimes in bed before midnight) :D

The past few years, we've actually woken up again just before midnight to ring the New Year in! :D
