Perchoutofwater
My wife recently called me a shoe whore, so I was wondering how many pairs of shoes / boots the average guy owns. Also, what kind of breakdown in shoes ie dress, casual, athletic, etc.. What are your favorite brands?

detlef
14 total. Well, hell, I just thought of 3 more, so make that 17. Brand of choice? Cole Haan, easy. I have a pair of black dress loafers, brown dress loafers, chukka boots, brown lace-up, olive green suede loafers, and an older pair of black ones that I cook in. The rest, flip flops, tennis, running, 2 other assorted athletic shoes, hiking, work boots, nice sandals, "dress sneakers" (for lack of a better name), black dress boots, older pair of black loafers that kick around in. Egret
Since I started running again, I've picked up a few shoes along the way. I have my work shoes, sandals, and a whole mess of running shoes now. I usually have two active pairs of running shoes and a few retired pairs for bumming around. AtomicCEO
Judging by the range of your poll, I'd say your wife is right. I thought I'd be on the highest side at around 12-13, but that's barely into the meaty section of the ranges you created.
