Savage Beatings
So glad you found them! You should probably kick your weird neighbor's ass anyway though... I'm sure they deserve it for something.

Footballjoe
They are snoozing very hard right now. I'm about ready to crash as well after about 4 hours sleep the past 2 days. We will all dream about Unta, of course. I'm going to look into those GPS collar trackers. I've heard of them and seen them on the hunting dogs. All the info I have is second hand though. They're not going to stay out anymore without me here but I'm going to see if that GPS collar is a good option. I don't want to ever go through it again. http://www.microchipidsystems.com/

nuke'em ttg
Giddy Up really happy for ya Tim i also agree with SB's comments above and maybe a surveillance camera for the compound, those whack jobs had a hand in it, maybe they can't hurt a dog but i bet RR's pension they can open a gate
TimC
Yeah, locks are going on all gates. The only time I ever open them is when I take the riding lawnmower back there. I'm guessing they found somewhere to hang out during the rainstorm. There is alot of old stuff out here that could've sheltered them. Both rarely ever snore and both were snoring hard last night. They ate and dropped almost immediately. I'm guessing they didn't sleep for 2 days. I'm going to get those GPS collars and they are nowgoing to stay inside when I'm not here. I'm thinking of taking my bonus and ripping down my perfectly good fence and building something taller. Or just extending the boards taller. I've got a "scallopped" fence and those dips are low. I can make it higher just replacing the boards and keeping the foundation of the fence. The posts and such are the hard part. The actual fence slats are easy. Pic of current fence Anyway, I'm just so thankful they are home. My life would've been far less never knowing what happened to them. I had called VDOT and asked them if they call the number on dog's tags when they find them dead on the side of the road. They said they catalogue each animal they pick up on the side and log it. I slept hard last night as well.

rajncajn
Very cool Tim, those woods do look mighty tempting for a dog. I can see why they got out.

Since it's tax time, I usually end up working at home for a bit - but not last night. Glad everything worked out ...Cheers!

wiegie
Now, if only they could tell their story... We almost made it. If Nestor hadn't been lollygagging through the woods, that dumbass redneck would have never found us. I tried to give his bitchass a heart-attack by forcing him to carry me back to his truck, but to no avail. Oh well, on the good side of things, I think there is a decent chance that the stray pit-bull I shacked up with the other night knocked me up. That inbred son-of-a-bitch told me that he was merely taking me in for a tummy-tuck. Of course, this does explain why Nestor didn't have the ball to make a real attempt at escaping.
