In any case in the Blitz household the answer to both questions is I generally pick my own clothes and dress myself. I am not above getting a little "hey, does this tie go with this shirt?" or the generic "does this look okay?" from the Mrs on occasion. Of course, she says I spend more time getting ready and worrying about how I look than a woman does when I'm going someplace special. That's me right there. Savage Beatings Posted August 6, 2007 Share Posted August 6, 2007 If we're going out to dinner etc., I usually ask her what she is wearing and try to complement that somehow with what I'm wearing... on those occassions I will ask her opinion and take her advice (but she usually just gives me a "yep, that looks great" response). Only time is if she wants us to be coordinated for a family photo or something... that I am fine with. And I let her give input if I am shopping for something like work shirts or pants, etc. She is better with colors and waht not, so if it is beyond a basic black shirt or pants or khaki type thing, she is there to give input but I make all of the final decisions. My mother probably buys 5% for Christmas or my birthdays, and I probably buy the other 5%. I generally buy my suits and the more expensive stuff. My wife does not tell me what to wear. When we are going to a party or an event, I may ask my wife's opinion, but when it is said and done, I am the one that chooses what I wear. The only exception is when we go on vacation. My wife generally packs for me, so I guess you could say she picks out what I wear, or limits my choices in that regard, but that is because I don't like packing.
