Finn5033
Obviously very sad. I have to admit the thing shocked me was his age. I had no idea he was that young. I feel like he’s been out of the league for a long time.
1fastdoc
Very sad. He was my WR1 the first year I won FF.

Dcat
Terrible news. DT was the best bubble screen receiver I ever saw. His successes in Denver were wonderful. When he was a Jet, he was a leader in the clubhouse and well respected by all. RIP.

Jaxfactor904
Still upsetting when I think of a playoff game(can’t remember when) that the Steelers fought back to tie the Broncos and send it to overtime. First play of OT he catches an 80 yard bomb from of all people Tim Tebow to send the Steelers packing. Great WR! RIP Mr. Thomas

Dcat
2011 -2016 was amazing. 4 Pro Bowl years in those 6. Nothing short of HoF worthy, IMO. 6 years in a row playing all 16 games + playoffs each year. He was an iron horse. 2012: 94 rec, 1434 yds, 10 TDs 2013: 92 rec, 1430 yds, 14 TDs 2014: 111 rec, 1619 yds, 11 TDs 2015: 105 rec, 1304yds, 6 TDs 2016: 90 rec, 1083yds, 5 TDs RIP #88. We will see you in Canton

We will see you in Canton Yes those were amazing numbers, was looking at them earlier today and the averages are amazing, almost 100 rec per season (98.4) almost 1400 yards (1374) and 9 TDs during that time. Not sure if those are HOF numbers, or how long it could take, as WR seemed to be the position with a log jam. He didn't make the NFL's 2010 all decade team (WRs were Fitz, AB, Megatron, Julio). Of course neither did Drew Brees (Brady/Rodgers).
Gridiot
With all these replies its evident and good to see he was a fan favorite no matter who your "home" team is and of those who appreciate the game. RIP DT
FinishTheDrill
So sad. RIP. We've had 3 athletes die suddenly this year in my community. It's very upsetting when these things happen. Condolences to his family and friends.
